Dodger CC runs at IAC meet

OTTUMWA — The Fort Dodge cross country teams were in action here Wednesday night at the Iowa Alliance Conference championships.

The Dodger boys placed sixth overall led by Jayce Point. The junior was 18th in a time of 17:58.

Jones Hensley finished 23rd overall in 18:13. Joos Langkjaer was 33rd, Aiden Recker placed 43rd, Corban McHone was 47th, Jaxson Lowrey-Jones finished 56th and Drew Essman was 61st.

Ames was crowned team champion, and Preston Johnson of Marshalltown won the boys race.

Fort Dodge’s Linnie Pratt was the top performer for the girls, as the sophomore placed 22nd overall. Pratt posted a time of 22:05.

Saiya Noborikawa was 31st, Madison Carmody placed 45th, Aileah Geopfert was 48th, Laila Grantham was 50th and Reina Lacina finished 51st for FDSH.

As a team, the Dodger girls were seventh. Ames clinched the title, led by individual winner Emma Stanley.

The FDSH junior varsity boys were ninth, as Myles Summers placed 30th. Elias Powers was 46th, Isaiah Grim 58th, Jonathan Casciato 59th, Austin Carmody 62nd and Braden Kammerer 68th.

Fort Dodge returns to action on Wednesday in Marshalltown for a Class 4A state-qualifying meet. Joining the Dodgers and host Bobcats will be Ankeny, Cedar Falls, Dubuque Hempstead, Mason City, Waterloo East, Waterloo West, Waukee and Waukee Northwest.
