No. 1 Knights too much for Jags

GOWRIE — The Southeast Valley football team saw first-hand here Friday night just how dangerous top-ranked (Class 2A) Carroll Kuemper can be.

The Knights piled up nearly 400 yards of total offense and jumped out to a commanding 28-0 lead at the half, winning 42-6.

Jarin Hoffman led the way for Carroll Kuemper (5-0 overall, 2-0 in district) with 180 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 19 carries, adding a 17-yard receiving score from Brock Badding.

Badding was 14-for-21 for 198 yards and four TDs.

The Knights came into the contest having bested OABCIG last week. They have won each of the last five meetings with the Jaguars (3-2, 1-1).

Casey Hanson had the lone touchdown for the Jaguars on a 21-yard scamper, running for 59 yards. Logan Jaeschke nine catches for 49 yards, as Southeast Valley was held to 128 yards of total offense with three turnovers.

The loss snapped a two-game win streak for the Jaguars, who return to action next Friday when they host Okoboji.

Starting at $4.94/week.
