ALGONA — The Humboldt girls cross country team continued a strong fall by placing third here Monday at the Algona Invitational.

The Wildcats placed three in the Top-6, led by a runner-up performance by senior Brynn Malo. Mason City placed first with Forest City second and Humboldt in third.

Malo clocked a time of 20:14 to only finish behind Mason City senior Brogan Evans, who went 19:54 to claim the title. Bishop Garrigan sophomore Julia Swift was third with Malo’s teammate, Avery Fisher, in fourth.
