Dodger CC runs at Mason City

MASON CITY — The Fort Dodge cross country teams competed at Mason City on Tuesday night.

The Dodger boys (186) finished eighth. Jayce Point had the top effort for Fort Dodge, placing 21st in a time of 18:21.5.

Jones Hensley (18:31.3) was 26th, while Corban McHone (18:33.9) took 28th. Joos Langkjaer (50th in 19:21.2), Drew Essman (77th in 20:58) and Myles Summers (79th in 21:11.3) were next in line for FDSH.

Mason City’s Henry Hansen (16:03) was the boys champion. Lake Mills (45) won the team title.

Webster City was sixth on the boys side with 154 points.

Justin Callahan (17:30) earned a 10th-place finish for the Lynx. Aidan Wardell (18:26.6) was 23rd, Jack Barner (18:42) was 31st, Gabe Thumma (18:54.7) was 39th and Kaleb Draeger (19:58) was 59th for WCHS.

On the girls side, Webster City was sixth with 165 points. Izzy Grossoehme (21:33.4) grabbed the top placing in 11th.

For Fort Dodge, Linnie Pratt (22:11.9) took 19th. Saiya Noborikawa (23:46.3) placed 30th.

Laila Grantham (24:40.8) was 35th and Madison Carmody (24:59.2) was 39th for FDSH.

After Grossoehme for the Lynx, Mckenna Buakham (25:08.1) placed 41st and Haedyn Soesbee (25:27.6) was 46th. Julia Griep (25:37.8) crossed in 48th.

Gilbert’s Keira Andersen (19:05.7) was the girls champion. Mason City (32) edged Gilbert (33) in the team race.

Mason City had the second, fifth, sixth, ninth and 10th place runners. Gilbert had the champion, fourth, seventh, eighth and 13th.
