Big night for Jags’ offense
ESTHERVILLE — Southeast Valley opened district play with a convincing victory.
The Jaguars (3-1 overall, 1-0 in district) rolled past Estherville-Lincoln Central (0-3, 0-1), 40-13 on Friday night.
The dual quarterback package worked to perfection for the Jaguars.
Mason Bahr was 6-for-10 for 116 yards and two touchdown passes, while Casey Hanson was 5 of 6 for 59 yards and one score.
Bahr connected with Logan Jaeschke from 61 yards out and Colin Johnson for a 28-yard score.
Hanson’s scoring strike was eight yards to Jaeschke.
Jaeschke finished with another big night, grabbing four balls for 81 yards and the two scores.
Both Bahr and Hanson had strong efforts on the ground as well. Bahr had an 11 yard score and Hanson reached paydirt from seven yards out.
Hanson had 14 totes for 117 yards and Bahr ran eight times for 64 yards.
The Jaguars had 390 yards of total offense to 176 for the Midgets.
Harrison had five grabs for 46 yards and an interception. Ian Brunner had a fumble recovery.
