The Iowa Central men’s soccer team opened the season with a convincing 6-0 victory over Riverland here Thursday night.

It marked the first time since 2021 that the Tritons have won their season opener, as they bested St. Louis that year, 6-1.

Enzo Joly had two goals as Luka Vasiljevic, Paul Valles Massabie, Parker Nelson and Vito Callaci each found the back of the net once.

Iowa Central will play three of its next four on campus on turf, as they host State Fair on Sunday at 11 a.m. After a trip to Kankakee in Illinois on Tuesday, the Tritons return home to host Marshalltown on Saturday, Aug. 30 at 3 p.m.
