FD’s Constable earns double A-A status at Fargo

FARGO, North Dakota — Fort Dodge junior-to-be Joe Constable flanked his runner-up showing in the freestyle portion of the U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals wrestling tournament with an All-American performance on the Greco-Roman side.
Constable, competing in the 16U bracket at 285 pounds, placed seventh in Greco.
After a criteria loss to the eventual national champion in the third round, Constable reeled off four consecutive victories to take seventh.
Team Iowa won the 16U Greco national title.
Constable, who took fifth place at the state tournament last February, placed second in freestyle action at 285. He joined Dodger teammates Dreshaun Ross (1st at 285 in Juniors) and Knox Ayala (3rd at 94 in 16U) as freestyle All-Americans.
