Led by unanimous selection Rylan Kingrey, the Fort Dodge baseball team had 10 players earn all-Iowa Alliance Conference North Division honors.
Kingrey was one of four first team picks for the Dodgers, who finished tied for second with Mason City in the league race behind champion Ames.
Joining Kingrey were classmate Royce Pederson, junior Jaxon Dencklau and sophomore Tanner Peterson. Both senior Landen Grandors and sophomore Kolton Schiltz made the second, as sophomores Bo Marsh, Tru McBride and Cal Pederson were honorable mention along with ninth-grader Reggie Pederson.
“The fact that we had 10 total guys mentioned is a tribute to the work they all put in,” FDSH head coach Blake Utley said. “Tanner had an outstanding year on the mound, and we knew we had a great chance of winning each time he was out there.
“Rylan took his game to another level as a senior. He was good in all facets for the Dodgers and will be missed for sure.”
Kingrey was was tied for first in conference-only games among all players in runs scored with 23 and walks drawn with 16. He was second in stolen bases (14) and third in on-base percentage (.594).

“Royce had a year that was unpredictable,” Utley said. “The work that Royce puts in when no one is watching paid off for him this year. Jaxson was a solid infielder and hitter, and we are looking forward to seeing the next jump he can make over the offseason.”
Peterson was a second in the league in innings pitched at 27 with the second-best WHIP at 0.74 to go along with the third-lowest earned run average (1.30). Dencklau had 13 hits, 11 RBI and 10 runs scored.

“Landen had a senior season for the books,” Utley said. “Kolton had another great year and it’s amazing that you can say that about a sophomore. his future in this game is going to be fun to watch.
“To get Bo, Tru, Cal and Reggie mentioned just goes to show the type of season that we had as a team.”
