So. Central Calhoun edges SE Valley

LAKE CITY — It was a fight to the finish in the boys team standings at the Ross Samuelson Co-Ed Relays in Lake City on Friday.

The homesteading Titans (136) edged Southeast Valley (134) by two points.

The Jaguars won eight events, including four relays.

Kayden Showers doubled up in the 100 (11.37) and 200 (22.79), while Owen Nuss won the 400 (55.31) for Southeast Valley. Alex Burger was the 400 hurdles champion in 57.26.

The 4×100 team of Dreyvon Steadman, Logan Jaeschke, Bryce Harrison and Showers won in 44.05. The same quartet teamed to win the 4×200 (1:32.81).

Burger, Nuss, Harrison and Colin Johnson won the 4×400 (3:38.35).

The shuttle hurdle squad of Burger, Casey Hanson, Kolton Ollinger and Johnson won in 1:04.19.

South Central Calhoun had a double winner in Redge Potts, who earned a distance double. Potts was the 1,600 (4:43.97) champion and also prevailed in the 3,200 (10:10.36).

Jace Pedersen earned gold in the shot put (43-3) for the Titans.

Paton-Churdan’s Trevon Keely won the high jump (6-02).

Manson Northwest Webster claimed gold in two relays, and Matt Condon was the long jump (21-8.5) champ.

The quartet of Noah Berger, Broc Patzner, Mason Anderson and Condon won the sprint medley (1:38.69). Berger, Condon, Patzner and Jack Hoeppner were the distance medley (3:53.39) gold medalists.
