McFall hired as new Triton women’s coach

The Iowa Central women’s basketball program has a new leader, as Graham McFall has been tabbed the head coach.
McFall replaces Sabah Dickerson following a three-year stint in the role.
“We are thrilled with the hiring of Graham to lead our women’s basketball program,” Iowa Central athletic director Kevin Twait said. “Graham’s proven success as both a head community college women’s basketball coach and as an assistant coach at both the NCAA Div. I and Div. II levels propelled him to the top of the list from the many qualified applicants that we had for this position.”
Iowa Central finished just 7-21 this past season, going 2-16 in the ICCAC. In 2023-24, the Tritons went 21-9 overall, winning 12 games in the conference while reaching the Region 11-A Tournament championship.
McFall spent last season at Portland State as an assistant coach after three seasons at Portland Community College, where he was head coach. Under his guidance, PCC had a plus-21 turnaround in wins, going 49-35 overall after a 9-66 mark the three years prior.
McFall also has experience coaching at IUPUI — an NCAA Div. I program — as well as NAIA Indiana University Kokomo and Lincoln University, and NCAA Div. II school.
McFall has served as the Team Australia head coach for the Alexander Basketball Academy Global Squad and was an assistant for Caboolture Suns in Australia. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Superior and earned his master’s from Lincoln University.
“I am extremely excited to be a part of the campus community here at Iowa Central,” McFall said. “I am looking forward to this journey and I am ready to get to work.”
