Dodgers run at Mason City
MASON CITY — The Fort Dodge girls track team came up with two runner up showing at the Mason City Invitational on Thursday.
Ky’Mariana Mosley placed second in the shot put with a throw of 34-8. She was also third in the discus with a toss of 105-7.
“We had some PRs,” said Fort Dodge head coach Todd Constable. “It was some good competition with Centennial, Mason City and others.
“We are gearing up toward a conference at home and districts at Mason City.”
The shuttle hurdle relay team of Adyson Friesth, Charlotte DeJong, LJ Maehl and Maeleena Meyer were second in a time of 1:14.48.
The distance medley quartet of Kenzie Halverson, Calliegh Zimmermann, Teryn Rippentrop and Linnie Pratt placed third.
Meyer was also third in the 100 hurdles. Saiya Noborikawa was third in the 3,000.
The quartet of Aneliese Schuur, Hope Alsott, Ashlyn Wills and Ava Wessels placed fifth.
The Dodgers are back in action on Tuesday when they host the Iowa Alliance Conference Track Meet at Dodger Stadium.
