Dodger 8th graders win 4×2

The Fort Dodge eighth-grade boys claimed a relay title and placed fourth here overall Thursday night at the Dodger Relays.
The 4×200-meter relay of Matias Lacina, Riley Klein, Mason Hughes and Jaysawn Jackson crossed home first, as Jackson added a second in the 200-meter run.
Fort Dodge was also second in both the sprint medley and shuttle hurdle relays. Running the sprint medlay were Hayden Porter, Hughes, Lacina and Braxton Phillips, as Klein, Thomas Smith, Brody Reimers and Aaron Perez comprised the shuttle hurdle.
Perez was third in the 200 hurdles and Jones Hensley grabbed bronze in the 800. Fourth place finishes for the Dodgers belonged to Jackson in the high jump, Teagan Grandors in the shot put, Hughes in the long jump, Hensley in the 1,600 and Perez in the 100 hurdles.
Smith, Tucker Drecke, Pierson Black and Persy Foy were fourth in the 4×100, with Black adding a fifth in the high jump. Reimers, Lacina, Porter and Joshua Jones placed fifth in the 4×400.
St. Edmond had a pair of third place relays, as Garrett Royster, Jack Stucky, Gavin McClain and Calahan Reisner grabbed bronze in the distance medley and 4×400.
