CORALVILLE — A group of Messenger-area girls will compete for state medals inside the Xtream Arena.

Class 1A action begins at 4:30 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. on Thursday. Friday’s action will run from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

A trio of Manson Northwest Webster seniors will compete for state medals.

Regional champion Lucy Kohnen (36-1) earned the fifth-seed in the 155 pound 1A field. She will face No. 12 Ryley Marcum of Missouri Valley.

Adelynn Hudek (36-7) is the 11th seed at 145 pounds and faces No. 6 Zenlynn Lee (23-3) of Mount Pleasant.

Elisa Anderson (21-11) will face No. 3 Bricsia Garcia-Vasequez (27-1) of West Liberty as the 14th seed at 190 pounds.

Humboldt senior Brooklyn Robinson will be joined by teammate Danica Diedrick in the Class 1A field.

Robinson (39-6) enters as a regional champion and picked up the sixth-seed at 235 pounds. She will face Ava Trende (29-10) of New Hampton/Turkey Valley.

Diedrick (41-8) a sophomore for the Wildcats is the 10th seed and will face Kira Cox of AP/GC (38-11) in the first round.

South Central Calhoun will send sophomore Meia Hefley (33-17) and freshman Emery Kramer (28-18).

Kramer is the 15th seed at 115 pounds in 1A and will face No. 2 Erica Irvine (11-2) of Don Bosco.

Hefley is the 13 seed and will wrestle No. 4 Lucy Konechne (36-2) of Central Lyon-George Little Rock.

Algona will send a trio of wrestlers to the state tournament.

Sophomore Mara Davis (37-9) is the sixth-seed at 100 pounds in 1A. She will face Penelope Wearmouth (21-12) of Martensdale-St. Marys.

Malyn Davis (31-8), the 12th seed at 120 will face No. 5 Josilynne Lennon (24-3) of Akron-Westfield.

Regan Jensen (33-8) a freshman eight-seed has No. 9 Kasee Huss (38-4) of MOC-Floyd Valley at 155 pounds.
