Two game stretch for Dodger boys

The Fort Dodge boys take to the court twice this week, playing at Des Moines East on Tuesday and hosting Des Moines Hoover on Thursday.

Both games will be doubleheaders with the girls action starting at 6:15 p.m. Boys should tip at approximately 7:45 p.m.

Last week, the Dodgers were denied a second win on the season, suffering a tough 59-57 setback to Sioux City West.

Cade Westerhoff leads Fort Dodge in scoring and rebounding, averaging over 11 points and six boards per game. Freshman Reggie Pederson is up to seven points a night on 51 percent shooting from the field.

The Dodgers picked up a 58-50 victory over the Scarlets earlier this month as Westerhoff scored 20 and Pederson had 15. Taevon Feeley added 10 with Westerhoff also grabbing 13 rebounds and Feeley 12.

Des Moines East is led by Damarius Parker, as the senior averages 12 points and five rebounds per game.

The Huskies are winless on the year, including a 55-47 setback to East for its lone win on the season. Boie Gomo averages 14.4 points and Isaac Fandeh nine with eight rebounds.
