The Fort Dodge swim team sent their senior class out in style here Tuesday night.
By winning 11 of the 12 races, the Dodgers picked up a 112-63 victory over Des Moines East.
Julia Eastman and Hailey Vogel were both double winners in individual swims while adding victories on two relays.
Addison Daniel, Delaney O’Connor, Kylen Lubensky and Karlee Pearson also won races and were involved in championship relays.
“It was an amazing night to celebrate our seniors,” FDSH head coach Ashley Beaumont said. “I have known many of these girls for more than just four years and it was nice to be able to celebrate with them.
“Plus, it’s fun winning 11 out of 12 for varsity. Overall, it was a great night of swimming for our girls.”
Eastman, one of seven seniors honored, claimed first place in the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle. She went 2:19.24 in the I.M. and had a time of 5:32.68 in the distance event.
Vogel, also a senior, won the 50 freestyle in 25.25 and the 100 freestyle in 56.09.
Daniel was the race winner of the 200 freestyle in 2:17.42 and O’Connor won diving. Both seniors were joined atop the podium by sophomores Lubensky and Pearson, who won the 100 butterfly (1:10.15) and 100 breaststroke (1:20.23).
Eastman, Pearson, Vogel and O’Connor swam the 200 medley relay in 1:59.69; Daniel, O’Connor, Lubensky and Vogel comprised the 200 freestyle relay in 1:51.98; and Lubensky, Daniel, Pearson and Eastman the 400 freestyle relay in 4:12.63.
The other seniors recognized were Madison Sullivan and Annabell Wolff.
O’Connor, Daniel, Pearson and Lubensky add added runner-up finishes along with Nora O’Connor and the 200 freestyle relay of Nora O’Connor, Madison Sullivan, Claire Thompson and Teagan Loots.
Morgan Townsend was a JV race winner.
Fort Dodge heads to Spencer on Thursday for a triangular with the Tigers and Carroll.
