Cougars impove to 4-0 in district

WALL LAKE -- The Manson Northwest Webster football team can finish no worse than second in the district after besting East Sac County here Friday night, 35-6.

The Cougars (6-1 overall, 4-0 in the district) host third-ranked (Class 1A) Emmetsburg next Friday night for the district title.

Kadin Birkey got the scoring started with a 31-yard run early in the first after he picked off a pass on defense. Birkey added a second touchdown before Logan Moline hit Matt Condon just before half to make it 20-0.

Cooper Harman had two rushing touchdowns in the third, with Moline recording an interception to set up one.
