HUMBOLDT — Sixth-ranked Humboldt got back on track here Friday night with a 28-10 win over Hampton-Dumont/CAL.

The Wildcats (4-1 overall, 1-0 in Class 3A, District 2) handed the Bulldogs (2-3, 0-1) their third consecutive loss.

Coen Matson found Valley Davis for two touchdown scores. Matson now has 11 scoring strikes this season and Davis has caught three of them.

Cash McIntire and Jaxson Kirchoff both had touchdowns. It was McIntire’s second and first for Kirchoff, his sophomore teammate.

Mason Van Pelt led the defense with eight tackles and an interception.
