Hawks make home debut
The South Hamilton football team makes their 2024 home debut here Friday night vs. Roland-Story.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from Taylor Field.
The game will take on added importance as the South Hamilton community honors the memory of Owen Renaud. The Hawk graduated tragically passed away earlier this month.
In honor of Renaud, the student section will have a white-out theme and students will be writing their favorite memory with Owen, his jersey number or their favorite Bible verse on the t-shirts.
After back-to-back road games vs. South Hardin and West Marshall, the Hawks (0-2 overall) are looking for their first victory of the season.
Nick Severseike had the lone score against West Marshall, finishing with 37 yards on the ground. Braden Young had 92 yards passing, including three connections to Severseike for 56.
On the year, Young has completed 9 of 18 for 141 yards with a score, Ashton Williams has 124 yards rushing and a TD and Kolby Hodnefield has 127 yards rushing.
Severseike is the leading receiver with six catches for 89.
Roland-Story (1-1) and South Hamilton have met each of the past four seasons, with the Hawks winning three of four. The Norsemen claimed a 29-20 victory last year.
For Roland-Story, Sam Knoll has 232 yards passing with five TDs while rushing for 124 yards and a score. Cody Long is his favorite target, catching eight passes for 96 and two touchdowns.
