Garrigan runs for 330 yards
ALGONA — This game was a turning point for Bishop Garrigan a year ago — this time it was a statement.
The defending champions (2-0 overall, 1-0 in district) opened eight-man, Division 2 play with a 41-6 victory over West Bend-Mallard.
The Golden Bears had 408 yards of total offense, running for 330.
Trayton Cink ran for 157 yards and three touchdowns. He had trips to the end zone for 13, 55 and four yards.
Ethan Marso had 47 yards on the ground, including touchdowns of 12 and 2.
Charlie McGregor ran in a 43-yard score in the fourth quarter.
Cole Fehr had the lone touchdown from 35 yards out for the Wolverines.
