Dodgers in action at Southeast Polk Invite
PLEASANT HILL — The Fort Dodge boys golf squad competed in the Southeast Polk Invitational here on Wednesday.
Playing in their fourth meet since late last week and third in as many days, the Dodgers shot a 357.
Sophomores Mason Frevert (40-44–84) and Bo Marsh (42-45–87) paced FDSH. Frevert had eight pars and a birdie. Marsh recorded six pars.
Davis Underberg (49-43–92) and Jaxson Dencklau (47-47–94) had the other counting scores for the Dodgers.
Southeast Polk and West Des Moines Valley tied for the top spot, as both carded 285s. West Des Moines Dowling (294) was third.
Dewell Anderson of Dowling (3-under 68) edged Valley’s Braeden Nelson and Cooper Patterson of Southeast Polk for the top spot individually. Both Nelson and Patterson shot 69.
The Dodgers are now off until next Thursday, when they will compete in the Iowa Alliance Conference meet at Elmwood Country Club in Marshalltown.
