Algona blitzes Forest City
FOREST CITY — Algona hit full throttle from the first whistle and never looked back.
The Bulldogs (2-0 overall) scored 41 points in the first quarter and blew out Forest City (0-2) 61-36.
The Bulldogs had a 48-7 lead when they pulled their starters, but the Indians cameback with their first string players.
After 28 points from Forest City, Algona’s starters returned for one more score.
The Bulldogs had 312 yards through the air.
Iowa State recruit Alex Manske threw for three touchdowns and ran for another. He had 239 yards through the air in the first half.
Evan Allie had an offensive, defensive and special teams touchdown.
