Rodriguez wins again for FDSH
The Fort Dodge girls tennis team dropped a 10-1 decision here Friday night to Marshalltown.
Manuela Rodriguez earned a straight-set victory at the No. 1 singles spot, reeling off 12 consecutive games after losing the first three.
Janelle Derrig battled to a tiebreaker loss in the first set before losing her singles match.
“Manuela got down 0-3 and just turned it on from there,” FDSH head coach Julie Astor said. “Janelle played a very tough first set.”
The Dodgers will host Des Moines Hoover next Tuesday evening.
