MARSHALLTOWN — The Fort Dodge boys tennis team dropped an 8-3 decision here Thursday to Marshalltown.

Micah Flaherty and Akramjon Abdurakhimov were winners in singles, as the two paired up to also claim a doubles victory.

Flaherty won 6-1, 6-1 with Abdurakhimov posting a 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) victory. Their doubles score was 6-2, 6-3.

“The conditions were just brutal,” FDSH head coach Scott Messerly said. “Micah and AJ did a nice job of adjusting out there. Marshalltown is a very good, experienced team.”

Next action for Fort Dodge will be Friday when they head to Des Moines Roosevelt.
