Dodgers win three at the lanes

The Fort Dodge bowling teams picked up three victories in a pair of triangulars on Monday at the Family Bowling Center.

The Dodger girls (2,071) beat Urbandale (1,963) and Des Moines Hoover (1,625).

The Fort Dodge boys (2,580) beat Hooveer (1,358) and lost to Urbandale (2,656).

“We are looking for consistency,” said Fort Dodge head coach Nick Vinson. “We had a team meeting before and talked about that, we can’t go big and then small or vice versa, we have to be in the same range.”

Amyrra Lumsden led the Dodger girls with a 347 series. She had games of 160 and 187.

Calli Graves also topped the 300-mark (308). Also bowling for the Dodgers was Sol Birkey (264), Baylee Willson (251), Samantha Anderson (225) and Sammantha Welter (205).

On the boys side, in his first varsity action, Slade Babb had the high individual game (254) and series (407). Brian Keenan (223) also had a 200 game as part of his 368 series.

Also at the lanes for the Dodgers was Noah Winninger (337), Dylan Crawford (322), Josh Jass (306) and Evan Hage (278).

The Fort Dodge JV boys shot a 1,605. Leland Sassman and Kody Vanvalkenburg both had 234 series.

The Dodger JV girls had 1,440 led by Alexis Scott-Freeman (219) and Kaitlyn Folsom (211).

The Dodgers are back in action on Friday when they host OABCIG.
