The Fort Dodge bowling teams made their home debut here Monday at Family Bowling Center vs. Des Moines Lincoln.

In the boys match, the Rails posted a 2,730-2,430 victory, while Lincoln also captured the girls dual, 2,760-2,041.

“Lincoln is a very good program, and with where we are right now, we knew this was going to be tough,” FDSH head coach Nick Vinson said. “Our goal is to get better each meet and go from there. That is where we are going to grow with this team out of.”

Trenton Beck had games of 191 and 196 to lead the Dodger boys with a 387 series. Evan Hage added a 325 followed by Noah Winninger (315), Josh Jass (298) and Brian Keenan (290).

Slade Babb had a 286 and Leland Sassman a 257 on junior varsity as Lincoln won, 1,848-1,585.

For the FDSH girls, Baylee Wilson’s 124-183 was the top series at 307 with Amyrra Lumsden right behind at 306. Sammantha Welter added a 280, Sol Birkey a 279, Calli Graves a 256 and Samantha Anderson a 249.

Lincoln won the junior varsity dual, 1,942-1,477 as Paige Lewis had a 223 and Natalie Anderson a 205.

“We saw growth from almost everybody in terms of scoring,” Vinson said. “We had stronger games of Baker’s compared to last week. It’s just going to take time to figure it all out.”

Fort Dodge returns to action next Monday when they host Des Moines Hoover and Urbandale.
