Dodgers handle DM Roosevelt

DES MOINES — The Fort Dodge girls swim team swept the relays and won seven individual events to down Des Moines Roosevelt here Tuesday, 114-71.

Julia Eastman, Hailey Vogel and Raegan Wooldridge were all double winners in individual races for the Dodgers.

Eastman won the 200 I.M. and 100 backstroke, Vogel claimed the 100 free and 100 fly, and Wooldridge was first in the 500 free and 100 breaststroke.

Eastman, Wooldridge, Gracie Harvey and Addison Daniel captured the 200 medley relay, with Eastman, Daniel, Kylen Lubensky and Vogel winning the 400 free. Harvey, Lubensky, Maddie Pulis and Vogel were first in the 200 free relay.

Harvey also placed first in the 100 fly.

“The girls swam very well,” FDSH head coach Ashley Beaumont said. “We had fun moving them around a little. We needed girls to get second and third in their events to secure the win.”

Catalina Elizondo, Ellie Schiek, Nora Kate O’Connor, Teagan Loots and Claire Thompson all won JV races.

Fort Dodge is at home on Thursday against Algona and Sioux City Metro.
