GOWRIE — The St. Edmond boys golf team lost their season opener to Southeast Valley on Tuesday at the Gowrie Country Club.

The Jaguars shot a 177, while the Gaels shot a 186.

Southeast Valley’s Hane Sorenson was the meet-medalist with a 41. Elias Field (41) was the meet runner up.

St. Edmond’s Caleb Schaeffer led the Gaels with a 42.

Also counting for the Jaguars was Will Comp (45) and Kaden Holder (50). Competing for Southeast Valley was Cale VanSickle (52) and Spencer Suchan (56).

Playing for the Gaels was Carter Rial (46), Hayden Derrig (49), Jack McElroy (49), Yoon Sang Kim (50) and Ronnie Orres (50).

The Southeast Valley JV won 208-232. Low-man for the Jaguars was Alex Lambert (47).

St. Edmond’s low score came from Jackson Calvert (52).

The Gaels are back in action on Friday when they travel to South Central Calhoun.
