A continued commitment to the Fort Dodge Ford Lincoln Toyota Webster County golf tournament and a passion for the sport itself drives the Faiferlick family, which will again sponsor the par-3 closest to the pin contests at the annual event July 9 and 10.

Faiferlick Martial Arts and Next Edge Performance of Fort Dodge will offer $100 to each winner on the men’s and women’s side. The men are at the Fort Dodge Country Club on Saturday; the women are at Lakeside Golf Course.

“For our family, the County Golf event is quality family time doing something together we all love,” Justin Faiferlick said. “I love golfing with Michael, and Deann loves to golf with Kelsey. But we all like it best when the eight of us can get together on the course (Justin and Deann; Kelsey and Zach Felch with children Grace and Aria; and Michael and Ashley.

“Building strong business and personal relationships with those who share the love of golf gives us a common bond. There are core similarities with Faiferlick Martial Arts, golf, and Next Edge Performance: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, along with relaxing, maximizing, and recovery. Because of those shared beliefs, we feel those who are focused on the game and making the closest to the pin shot deserve to be rewarded.”

The family’s passion for Fort Dodge resurfaced with a recent business venture.

“We made a large investment into our community this year by purchasing and remodeling the old Ridgewood Bowling Alley,” Justin said. “We are up and running at our new location and have added 24/7 services to Next Edge Performance with a cardio and strength gym.”

Players who live or work anywhere in Webster County are encouraged to sign up for the event, which is July 9 and 10 this year at the Fort Dodge Country Club and Lakeside Golf Course.

Tee times will start at 7:30 a.m. for the men’s Open, Senior and Super Senior brackets on July 9 at the Fort Dodge Country Club. Times will be reversed for men’s players on July 10, at Lakeside.

The women’s Open, Senior and Super Senior fields will have tee times on July 9 at Lakeside and July 10 at the FDCC.

Foursomes are asked to sign up either by phone or in person at their respsective designated courses, which will be the FDCC for the men and Lakeside for the women. The registration period runs now through July 5.
