Lynx win district title

STORM LAKE — Webster City locked up the Class 4A district championship with a 41-6 win over Storm Lake on Friday.

The Lynx (6-2 overall, 4-0 4A-1) accumulated 304 yards of total offense, rushing for 298.

CJ Hisler led the offensive charge with 77 yards and a 67-yard touchdown run. Hisler returned the opening kickoff of the game 100 yards for the Lynx.

Jaxon Cherry and Connor Hanson had two touchdowns each. Cherry finished the night with 69 yards on five carries, including touchdown runs of one and two yards.

Hanson had 37 yards on seven totes. He scored from two and 21 yards.

Josh Griep had a big second half for the Lynx, carrying the ball 10 times for 72 yards.

Jamin Stuhr led the defense with 4.5 tackles, two tackles for a loss and a sack.
