Cougars play tough with Titans

MANSON — The South Central Calhoun football team was in a fight here Friday with Manson Northwest Webster.

The Titans picked up a 30-22 victory against their Calhoun County rivals.

Kevin King scored after the South Central Calhoun defense forced a fumble and the Titans got the conversion, making it 30-16 midway through the fourth.

The Cougars would punch in a late score on a Brodie Anderson touchdown, but South Central Calhoun ran out the clock to secure the win.

Zach Trott had a pair of scores for the Titans with Blake McAlister also finding the end zone. McAlister ran for 122 yards on 21 carries.

Manson NW got on the board first when Shawn Kenyon hit Jaydin Anderson for six. Kenyon finished 14-for-26 passing for 157 yards, Anderson had five receptions for 52 and Tate Bianchi ran for 125 yards.

Brodie Anderson had five receptions for 48 yards and Jaxon Bush two for 47.

On defense, Cael Collins recorded eight tackles and Ian Kohnen had a sack for the Cougars. Joey Goodwin recovered a fumble.
