Lynx no-hit Gaels
WEBSTER CITY — Tyler Olson showed why he is one of the top pitchers in the North Central Conference, completing a no-hitter as the Webster City baseball team downed St. Edmond here Wednesday night, 10-0 in five innings.
Olson struck out nine to earn his second career no-hitter. The Iowa Central commit is now 6-0 on the season with an earned run average of just 0.36.
The Lynx improved to 19-1 overall and 10-0 in the NCC. Webster City last went unbeaten in the league in 199a6.
Sean Carver had a two-RBI double and CJ Hisler a two-RBI single to kick-start the Lynx in the first inning.
Webster City can clinch the NCC for the fourth time in five years with a win over Humboldt on Monday. St. Edmond hosts Bishop Garrigan at Rogers Park Thursday night.
