CLARION — The St. Edmond softball team picked up a 12-4 victory over Clarion-Goldfield/Dows here Friday night.

Gracie Harvey continued her hot run at the plate, hitting two home runs and driving in three. Kaili Henning had a triple, a double and drove in two while Ansley Oswald also plated a pair with two doubles.

“We’re just really locked in right now,” SEHS head coach Bill Shirbroun said. “The girls are staying patient and putting together smart at-bats. And Gracie is really just in a zone.”

Lauren Gibb had two doubles and drove in two runs, Alyson Nieland and Josie Harvey each had an RBI, and Elly Berry stole five bases. Ella Vratny had four strikeouts in three innings and Henning had six strikeouts.

The Gaels have won eight in a row and take on South Hamilton Saturday at the Van Meter Tournament. They return home Monday to host Humboldt in North Central Conference action.
