Garrigan girls top Humboldt, Dodgers
The Bishop Garrigan girls golf team fired a 172 to top both Humboldt and Fort Dodge here Thursday at the Fort Dodge Country Club.
The Wildcats, led by medalist Nora Carlson, had a 199, with the Dodgers firing a team score of 220.
Carlson had a 40 with Humboldt teammates Noelle Hamand (52), Ashley Wergeland (52) and Tori Gargano (55) founding out the scoring.
For the Golden Bears, Kelly Baade fired a 40, Annie Burns a 42, Anna Berke a 43 and Ava Eisenbarth a 47.
Freshman Carsyn Zehr was the low score for the Dodgers with a 50. Makayla Newsom and Kaylynne Gilliland added 55s, with Heidi Clay carding a 60.
Fort Dodge is next in action on Tuesday when they host Marshalltown.
