Dodger boys come up short vs. SC North

The Fort Dodge boys soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Sioux City North inside Dodger Stadium.

The Stars took a 2-0 lead at halftime and tacked on one more goal in the second half.

“We played a lot better in the second half,” said FDSH head coach Joe Jackson. “We played a great game as far as effort and putting things together. The guys fought hard and are doing the things we talked about.

“In the second half, we started to connect on our passes. We weren’t trying to hit the long ball and we tried to connect and we were putting it wide, so we could put it back in the box.”

The Dodger junior varsity team lost, 4-1. Bo Tracy connected on a header for Fort Dodge’s only goal.

The Dodgers are back in action on Friday when they travel to Storm Lake.
