Dodger bowlers sweep Dowling
WEST DES MOINES — The Fort Dodge boys and girls bowling teams swept West Des Moines Dowling on Wednesday.
The Dodger boys earned a 2,962-2,583 victory, while the girls won by a final of 2,344 to 1,835.
Kaleb Anderson led the way for the Dodgers, who produced four totals of 400 or better. Anderson rolled a 466.
Carson Werning was next in line at 435. Kyle Davis had the high game of the day for FDSH, tossing a 266 as part of his 426 series. Mitchell Bolton was next at 412.
“The boys bowled well in singles,” said Fort Dodge head coach Nick Vinson. “Kaleb was consistent, while Carson, Mitchell and Kyle had big games.”
For the Dodger girls, Paige Copenhaver passed the 400-plateau with a 425 series. Lexi Hanson (355) followed.
“Paige had a really good effort, as did Lexi,” Vinson said. “We’re really starting to show our potential.”
The Dodger junior varsity boys won 2,600 to 2,038. Jayden Ray rolled a 395 series. The girls JV won 1,510 to 1,457. Kat Berry had a 252.
