Rough road trip for Fort Dodge girls

ANKENY — The Fort Dodge girls were unable to keep the momentum from their win over Mason City going here Friday night, falling to Ankeny, 74-44.

After scoring an overtime victory vs. the Mohawks on Tuesday night, the Dodgers fell into a big hole after the first quarter and could not climb out against the Hawkettes, who are 3-0 to start the season.

Senior Tristin Doster paced FDSH (1-3 overall) with 10 points. Cheyenne Miller-Hameed added nine, and sophomore Lainey Maehl contributed seven.

Abigail Johnson had a game-high 19 for the Hawkettes.
