Titans power past Rebels

LAKE CITY — Seventh-ranked South Central Calhoun spent a lot of time in the end zone on Friday night in their Class 1A postseason opener.

The Titans (6-1 overall) scored seven touchdowns from six different people on their way to a 46-7 victory over Sioux Central (2-6).

Brennan Holder reached the end zone on two occassions, scoring on an 26-yard touchdown run and catching a 42-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Cole Corey.

Corey threw another score for the Titans, hooking up with Evan Jacobs from 13 yards out. Corey did it on his as well, plunging in from one-yard out.

Blake McAlister got the scoring started in the first quarter on a 26-yard jaunt.

Jordan Lee had a one-yard strike and Tjuan Sanders scored from 23 yards out.

Sioux Central’s lone touchdown came from Ethan Mills on a 12-yard run.

The Titans will face Dike-New Hartford next Friday.
