Rams score shutout vs. Clarinda
JEFFERSON — It was all Greene County here Friday night, as the Rams marched on with a convincing 24-0 victory over Clarinda.
Bryce Stalder tossed a pair of touchdowns and Nate Black added a rushing score as Greene County improved to 7-2 on the season.
Clarinda’s year ends at 4-5.
Stalder hit Jesse Miller on a fourth-and-8 pass late in the first to get the Rams on the board, 7-0. A fumble recovery by the Greene County defense set up that score.
Nathan Behne made it 10-0 on a field goal, with that drive also being set up following a fumble recovery.
Black punched in a score late in the third from 23 yards out and Stalder hit Jaxon Warnke on another fourth-down pass.
Stalder now has 15 passing touchdowns on the season.
Greene County has won all five meetings between the two teams, adding to a 22-15 decision earlier this year. They also scored wins by three points in 2013 and seven in 2012.
The Rams have posted back-to-back postseason shutouts, outscoring their two opponents 73-0. They have won six consecutive games since a 31-18 loss to Atlantic in Week 3.
