Countdown to County Tournament: Ault tandem swept in 2010

It was a family affair at the end of the 2010 Fort Dodge Ford Lincoln Toyota Webster County golf tournament.
Husband and wife tandem of Kevin and Andrea Ault claimed first in the open divisions.
Kevin Ault fired a 165 total to capture his fifth consecutive men’s open division championship. It marked his lowest total score of his run.
The Fort Dodge Senior High graduate fired a 34 in the championship-nine that year.
Andrea Ault fired a 151 total to become the first women’s open champion not named Heather Frye since 2005. The year before, she fell a single shot shy of placing first to Frye, who was making her final appearance that year.
Andrea Ault is a former Bishop Garrigan standout and Algona native. The couple met at Wartburg College.
They recently celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary with Kevin winning the Cedar Rapids Amateur title for the second straight year. Andrea served as his caddy during the outing.
Kevin and Andrea Ault currently live in Cedar Rapids with their four children.
The sign-up period continues for this year’s two-day event, which is Saturday and Sunday at the Fort Dodge Country Club and Lakeside golf courses.
