THE TIP: Fort Dodge heads to Des Moines to face East beginning at 6:15 p.m. with the girls contest. Boys are set to begin at 7:45 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT: The Dodgers had their two-game win streak snapped at the hands of West Des Moines Valley, 65-42. The Scarlets suffered their third consecutive defeat, falling to Ottumwa, 71-40.

ABOUT THE SCARLETS: Since a pair of wins in early January, Des Moines East is just 1-7 over its last eight. The Scarlets average just 29 points per game and have made only 24 percent of their 3-point shots. Rachel Puok leads the team in rebounds, assists, blocks and steals.

LAST TIME OUT: After a strong start, the Dodgers were unable to hold off West Des Moines Valley, falling 67-47. The Scarlets dropped an 86-53 decision to Ottumwa.

ABOUT THE SCARLETS: Des Moines East has lost 32 straight games dating back to last season when they topped Des Moines Roosevelt, 74-54. Included in that stretch was a 60-46 setback to Fort Dodge. The Scarlets average 39 points a game and are shooting 34 percent from the field.
