WRESTLING PREVIEW: Iowa Central at Iowa Western

THE ACTION: No. 9 Iowa Central heads to Council Bluffs for the first of two duals this month with fourth-ranked Iowa Western Wednesday night. Wrestling begins at 7 p.m.

PROBABLE TRITON LINEUP: 125 — Daniel Vargas; 133 — Maddie Roney; 141 — Bret Minor; 149 — Nolan Miller-Johnston; 157 — Andrew Gamble; 165 — Ashton Eyler; 174 — Anthony Johnson; 184 — Triston Licht; 197 — Ja’Quez Bostic; 285 — Boone McDermott.

LAST TIME OUT: The Tritons went 4-1 to place fifth at the NJCAA Coaches Duals in Oklahoma. Iowa Central scored wins over Northeast Oklahoma, No. 18 Neosho, 19th-ranked Cowley and No. 20 Iowa Lakes. The Reivers placed second at the same meet, falling to fifth-ranked Clackamas in the finals, 38-15.

RANKED TRITONS: Daniel Vargas is sixth at 125 pounds, Bobby Tellez checks in at No. 6 at 133, Andrew Gamble is seventh at 157, Ashton Eyler sits fifth at 165, Anthony Johnson is rated seventh at 174 and Boone McDermott is fifth at heavyweight.

ABOUT THE REIVERS: Iowa Western features seven ranked wrestlers including No. 2 Camden Russell (125 pounds), No. 5 Ladamien Sturdivant (133), No. 5 Max Hughes (141), No. 5 Melvin Hernandez (149), No. 1 Isaiah Crosby (165), No. 3 Dillyn Miller (197) and No. 9 Collin Braun (285).
