MARSHALLTOWN — The Iowa Central women rebounded from a loss to North Iowa Area here Saturday, besting Marshalltown, 75-53.

Isabell West led the way for the Tritons in scoring, posting 22 points on 10 of 11 shooting. She also had five rebounds and five assists.

Aaliyah Hull added 14 points, Jordan Engbrecht 11, Anni Cummings nine, Kae’la Jackson eight and Mardaeja Cross seven.

Iowa Central has won four of its last five overall to improve to 13-8 on the season.

After falling behind 18-16 following the first quarter, the Tritons outscored Marshalltown 21-8 in the second and 20-7 in the third.

Cross added eight rebounds, five assists and four steals to her day, with Engbrecht also dishing out five assists.

Jacie Stephenson grabbed six rebounds off the bench for Iowa Central.

Next action for the Tritons will be on Wednesday when they travel to Iowa Falls to meet Ellsworth in ICCAC action. Tip is set for 5:30 p.m.
