Gaels head to Humboldt for NCC triangular

THE ACTION: Humboldt will host both St. Edmond and Webster City beginning at 6 p.m. inside the Wildcat gym.

PROBABLE GAEL LINEUP: 106 — Ronnie Orres, 14-6, fr.; 120 — Rick Xu, 1-16, jr.; 132 — Clay Kelley, 1-3, soph.; 138 — Johnny Dickerson, 3-13, fr.; 145 — Cayne Reed, 1-7, soph.; 152 — Tyler Rossmanith, 5-14, soph.; 160 — Grant Webster, 3-10, soph.

LAST TIME OUT: The Gaels competed at home for the final time this past weekend, hosting the St. Edmond Duals. They dropped all five duals, falling to AGWSR, Fort Dodge JV, Roland-Story, Southeast Valley and West Hancock.

RANKED GAELS: Ryan Duckett, who is ranked at 113 pounds, remains sidelined for St. Edmond. The junior is currently eighth in Class 1A.

ABOUT THE WILDCATS: Humboldt currently features ranked wrestlers in Cole Nelson (2A, No. 4, 106 pounds) and Cresten Craven (No. 9, 120). Wildcat head coach Chad Beaman earned his 400th career win earlier this year.

Humboldt was third at the Rollin Dyer Invitational this past weekend.

ABOUT THE LYNX: Webster City placed fifth at the GTRA Invitational in Graettinger last Saturday. The lone ranked Lynx wrestler is sophomore Cam Phetxoumphone, who is first at 106 pounds in 2A.
