LAST TIME OUT: Behind nine first place finishes, the Dodgers rolled to the team title at the Clear Lake Invitational. Max Bishop, Lane Cowell, Drake Ayala, Carson Taylor, Brooks Cowell, Dreyzon Phillips, Brandon Mills, Kody Cook and Levi Egli all claimed gold, with Savion Wheat finishing second.

RANKED DODGERS: Eight Dodgers are in the Class 3A rankings led by defending state champions Drake Ayala and Carson Taylor. Ayala is first and Taylor is second. Lane Cowell (No. 7, 113), Brooks Cowell (No. 7), Dreyzon Phillips (No. 3), Brandon Mills (No. 6), Kody Cook (No. 10) and Levi Egli (No. 2).

ABOUT THE WARRIORS: A handful of Waukee wrestlers are ranked including Thurman Christensen (No. 3, 120), Cody Anderson (No. 6, 152), Griffin Gammell (No. 4, 182), Cael Thorson (No. 6, 220) and Connor Arndt (No. 8, 285). Christensen placed fourth at state last year, losing to Drake Ayala in the semifinals.

Anderson earned third place honors while Gammell, Thorson and Arndt were all qualifiers.
