Iowa Central sweeps through four matches

ROCHESTER, Minn. — The 13th-ranked Iowa Central volleyball team won all four matches here at the Yellowjacket Invitational.

On Friday, the Tritons downed Bismarck State and Madison, adding wins over Rock Valley and Harper on Saturday.

In the five-set win vs. Bismarck, Amaya Finley had 19 kills and Kealey Anderson recorded 16. Finley also had 29 digs, Taylor Bieneman had 23 and Alesha Johnson 18.

Hannah Huss, a former St. Edmond standout, added 14 digs and Johnson had 34 assists.

Finley had 20 kills vs. Madison with Bieneman recording 24 digs and Huss 18. Johnson also had 36 assists.

In the sweep vs. Rock Valley, Finley had 13 kills and 17 digs, with Johnson recording 30 assists and Huss 14 digs.

Anderson led Iowa Central (11-1 overall) with 17 kills vs. Harper, adding 14 digs. Finley had 11 kills and 13 digs, and Huss had 13 digs. Johnson had 34 more assists.

The Tritons return to action Wednesday when they head to Boone to face Des Moines Area.
