At least nine Gael events headed to DM

ARMSTRONG — The St. Edmond boys and girls track teams were in action here Friday night at a Class 1A state-qualifying meet.

Earning titles and automatic bids to state next week for the Gael girls were the 4×800 relay, distance medley relay and Abby Landwehr in both the 3000 and 1500.

The 4×800 consisted of Caroline Shelly, Emma Alstott, Landwehr and Aubrey Bemrich, with Shelly, Gracie Harvey, Avery Galles and Bemrich running the distance medley.

For the St. Edmond boys, Kase Baker qualified in the 100 and 200 along with the 4×100, 4×400 and sprint medley relays.

Charlie Shelly, Sean Flattery, Sean Newell and Baker ran the 4×100, with Andrew Gibb, Newell, Flattery and Shelly the 4×400. Newell, Baker, Flattery and Shelly comprised the sprint medley.
