SE’s Kinney meet medalist

Rylee Kinney’s 42 earned her medalist honors and helped the St. Edmond girls golf team claim a triangular with Clarion-Goldfield/Dows and Webster City here Tuesday evening at Lakeside Golf Course.

Kinney was joined by counting scorers Hannah Zinnel (53), Amanda Richman (54) and Cameron Brown (58) for the Gaels. Clare Condon added a 62.

“The girls played well,” SEHS head coach Kelsey Felch said. “Hannah shot her new personal best, which is great to see from a senior.

“Cameron almost reached her personal-best. Overall, I think the girls are playing well. We just need to continue to remain consistent and work on our short game.”

Katie Haberman earned runner-up honors to lead the Cowgirls, firing a 51. Hannah Tew (52), Edin Polzin (54) and Nicole Waters (56) followed.

For the Lynx, Peyton Hilpipre had a 52, Ella Dinsdale a 56, Katie Casady a 59 and Urusla Leksell a 61.

Kierstin Clark led the St. Edmond junior varsity with a 61, as they fired a 263 to top Clarion-Goldfield/Dows and Webster City.

Riley Nelson (62), Alyxis Mericle (64) and Zoe Rodriguez (76) were the other counting scorers.

The Gaels host South Hamilton back here on Monday.
