Jaguar girls defeat St. Edmond in golf

GOWRIE — The Southeast Valley girls golf team defeated St. Edmond 219-245 on Tuesday night.

Southeast Valley’s Delaney Conrad was the meet medalist with a 39.

St. Edmond’s Rylee Kinney was the runner up medalist with a 49.

“We struggled with putting, but know what we need to work on for the next meet,” said St. Edmond head coach Kelsey Felch. “I’m proud of the girls perseverance through the wind. Rylee and Amanda had good rounds again.

“I’m looking forward to our meet at Iowa Falls.”

For the Gaels, Amanda Richman (57), Clare Condon (69) and Cameron Brown (70). Also competing for the Gaels was Kierstin Clark (75) and Zoe Rodriguez (83).

Other counting scores for the Jaguars were Christine Housken (59), Sammy Alphs (60) and Lauren Jackson (61). Shaylin Carlson (66) and Haylee Kraft (74) also competed.

Chyann Hicks (60) had the low score for the Southeast Valley junior varsity. Alyxis Mericle shot a 76 for the Gael junior varsity.

The Gaels are back in action on Friday when they head to Iowa Falls-Alden.
