Gollob, sprint medley second for FD girls

MARSHALLTOWN — The Fort Dodge girls track team competed here Monday night at the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Marshalltown.

Fort Dodge’s sprint medley relay of Tristin Doster, Martyne Lowrey, Tory Bennett and Aleaha Pommer placed second, with Kacee Gollob claiming silver in the shot put with a new personal-record.

“It wasn’t that bad out at all and we had a really good night with a lot of personal records,” FDSH head coach Todd Constable said. “There was a little rain early on but outside of being kind of chilly, it was a really good night.”

The 4×800 relay finished in fourth and Bennett was fifth in the 200.

In junior varsity action, Chloe Wertz won the shot put and the FDSH 4×100 relay finished second.

The Dodgers return to action Thursday in Manson.
