Dodger boys head to DM North

FDSH takes on Locure, Polar Bears

BOYS PROBABLES: Fort Dodge (8-12 overall): Jace Peterson, sr., 8.8; Tysen Kershaw, jr., 11.2; Grant Barber, sr., 3.4; Dayson Clayton, soph., 3.2; Jordan Jackson, sr., 15.2.

Des Moines North (15-4): Lino Malual, sr., 11.3; Malik Allen, soph., 11.9; Tyreke Locure, sr., 30.9; Gatdoar Bijiek, sr., 18.1; Gore Puot, jr., 5.7.

KEY STATS: The Dodgers have won at least eight games nine of the past 10 seasons under head coach Tom Daniel. Fort Dodge is also 7-3 over its last 10 games, including three consecutive wins. Jordan Jackson leads the team in rebounding with Tysen Kershaw tops in assists, steals and blocks.

LAST TIME OUT: Jace Peterson scored a career-high 20 points as the Dodgers downed rival Mason City on the road, 61-41. Des Moines North bested Des Moines Lincoln, 89-73, as Tyreke Locure scored 32 points.

ABOUT THE POLAR BEARS: Des Moines North is led by guard Tyreke Locure, who has signed to play at the University of South Alabama. Locure is one of the top scorers in the state, averaging just under 31 per game. The Polar Bears have four players in double figures and average almost 82 points a night. They have made 198 three-pointers this year and shoot 46 percent from the field.
